BADR-A was designed and developed by Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO). It was launched aboard a Chinese Long March 2E rocket. It marked Pakistan`s first indigenously developed and operational satellite.
BADR-A was a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Satellite, designed primarily for scientific research and technological demonstration. It carried instruments for digital communication and earth observation, transmitting telemetry data back to ground stations.
