The iCube-Qamar mission marks Pakistan`s first lunar exploration effort, a significant milestone for the country`s space endeavors. It was launched from China`s Hainan province aboard the Chang`E6 spacecraft. The mission was developed in collaboration with Pakistan`s Institute of Space Technology (IS) and China Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) The Icube-Qamar orbiter is equipped with two optical cameras designed to capture detailed images of the lunar surface. It aims to orbit the moon for three to six months collecting valuable data for scientific research.
